Mannheim Steamroller 30/40, the group’s newest album, will be released nationwide October 21. The aptly named album celebrates the 30th anniversary of Chip’s first Christmas record and the 40th anniversary of the first release in his Fresh Aire series. “This album is special to me in many ways,” says Chip. “In addition to providing an opportunity to reflect on a lifetime of creating and making music for our Mannheim Steamroller family of fans, I was able to work with my daughter, Elyse, as she performs vocals on a modern retelling of the holiday classic, Greensleeves.”
30/40 is being released in three different physical formats – as a single disc with 16 holiday and classic Fresh Aire songs, a limited edition three-disc set with 50 hand-selected tracks, and a 16-track, limited edition vinyl record produced on two 12” discs. These were all created and mastered from the original highest fidelity tapes and master recordings. The vinyl version is produced on 180 gram virgin vinyl for maximum fidelity.
