There are 3 things you must expect when having a father like Chip Davis, according to his three children!
1) You will become appreciative of different cultures from a young age, learning little phrases from various languages. That’s because Chip has traveled not only across the United States, but also internationally in producing his music and videos.
2) You must be prepared for a plethora of “Dad” jokes. “How do you Caul-i-flour?” Well, as Chip has said numerous times throughout his kids’ childhoods, “You have to punch in the area code!”
3) You will begin your own journey as a musician by the time you’re four years old, beginning with piano and finding other passions such as guitar and singing. His daughters Kelly (age 27) and Elyse (age 19) began singing from a very young age while Evan (age 22) found his voice on the guitar.
Now, all of these things lead to a pretty interesting life and a “wild ride” as described by Evan. ”He has taken us to some pretty crazy places but reminds us to also take pride in our roots.” Said, Elyse. “He always pushed us to have a work ethic which has not only helped me in my life but will be something I will teach to my own kids someday.” Kelly added. Growing up with him as a father leaves some pretty big shoes to fill, but at the end of the day all three agreed that “Being able to hear about all of his accomplishments inspires us to live life to the fullest, never take a moment too seriously, and most importantly, to take pride in whatever it is you decide to do.”
