Mannheim Steamroller composer/creator Chip Davis’s latest project, “The Ambience Series,” is not just music but a transformative experience designed for healing, wellness, and relaxation. Available for the first time mixed and mastered in the immersive Dolby Atmos by Abbey Road Studios, London, the Ambience Series combines natural sounds digitally captured in a 200-by-200-foot surround sound algorithm and Chip’s original music compositions inspired by the Ambience. This use of Dolby Atmos ensures a high-quality, immersive experience. “Autumn Song”
“Autumn Song” is the second release of Mannheim Steamroller’s Ambience series and follows “Summer Song”, available in stereo and the immersive Dolby Atmos streaming format. The sounds and smells of midwestern Fall are in the air. Recorded over several years during the Fall, the ambient soundtrack mainly comprises the sounds of autumn locusts, rustling leaves, and birds. The music features a range of textures, from Renaissance sounds to lush orchestrations. Often, the composition of the music is influenced by natural events captured in the ambient sounds.
